Chores still aren't getting done
The dishes are worth a ridiculous number of points, but they still aren't getting done!
If a chore isn't getting done, the points are too low. You may feel the price is too high, but clearly your family disagrees.
A point value is correct when everyone says, "Yeah, I'd do that."
If you want to ensure a chore is done quickly, make the value a little higher. You're paying for two things: the chore, and its quick completion.
Higher values create competition. Make the value high enough, and your family will jump at the opportunity to do the dishes.
